Virtual Running Medals — Custom Race Awards Shipped Directly to Participants

We manufacture custom running medals for virtual races, online running challenges and app-based running events. Every medal is shipped directly to the participant, not handed out at a finish line.

A virtual medal has to carry the whole race experience on its own. It arrives in the mail, gets unboxed at home and ends up in a social media photo. Full-color printing, creative shapes and thoughtful packaging all matter more than they do for a road race.

*Send your event name, logo and quantity for a free design proof within 24 hours.

Virtual Medal Types We Manufacture

Custom virtual running medals can do more than mark a finish. They can move, open, connect, collect into a series or arrive with a matching digital award. The right format depends on how participants complete your challenge, how you want them to share the result and whether the medal is a one-off reward or part of a longer campaign.

Finish Options for Virtual Running Medals

Three finishes cover most virtual medals. The right one depends on your artwork, quantity and how the medal needs to photograph.

For virtual medals, UV printing is usually the best fit because it reproduces full-color artwork and gradients that enamel cannot. If your design is a simple logo with solid colors, soft enamel is a cost-effective alternative. Our design team will recommend the right finish once we see your artwork.

Virtual events often cross over with holiday running medals or themed fun runs, so we can carry one design language across a whole season of virtual challenges.Eco-themed virtual programs can also switch to wooden running medals — light, mail-friendly and laser-engraved in birch or bamboo. Our 10K finisher medals add soft enamel, 3D die-cast and UV print options for road and virtual 10K events.

Direct-to-Participant Shipping and Fulfillment

This is the biggest difference between a virtual medal and a road race medal. Instead of shipping one bulk order to a race director, we can mail individual medals straight to each participant’s home.

Worldwide direct shipping

air freight by DHL, UPS or FedEx to 50+ countries

Mail-ready packaging

polybag, velvet pouch or mailer box sized for the medal and ribbon

Single bulk option

if you prefer, we ship one bulk order and you handle distribution

Split shipping

air-freight part of the order to meet a launch date, with the balance by sea

Mail-Out Fulfillment: Sorting, Packing and Tracking

For a virtual event, fulfillment starts with your final participant list, not with production. We match each entry to a packed medal and apply the shipping label, so every parcel leaves the factory already assigned to one runner.

  1. Sorting: the participant list is split by country and medal variant; duplicate or incomplete addresses are flagged before packing starts.
  2. Packing: each medal goes into its polybag, velvet pouch or mailer box with the matching ribbon and insert card, then into the outer mailer.
  3. Labelling and tracking: every parcel receives a tracking number, and we return the tracking list against the participant reference you supply.
  4. Dispatch: air freight by DHL, UPS or FedEx for time-critical launches, or sea freight for the balance of a large campaign. One order can be split into regional waves so each launch date gets its own dispatch.

MOQ is 100 pcs per design. Samples take 7–10 days and bulk production 18–20 days after approval, so lock artwork 4–6 weeks before your launch date.

Tell us how many medals go where, and we will package and ship accordingly. This lets a virtual event feel like a physical one, with the medal arriving at each runner’s door on schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions About Virtual Running Medals

Zinc alloy is the standard. It holds detail, supports UV printing and soft enamel, and stays light enough to keep mail-out shipping affordable. Iron is a budget alternative for simple designs. Brass suits premium, limited-run virtual events.

Yes. Direct-to-participant shipping is one of our core virtual medal services. We can mail each medal to a runner’s home address worldwide, or ship one bulk order to a single address if you prefer to handle distribution yourself.

UV full-color printing is usually the best choice for virtual medals because it reproduces gradients, sponsor logos and photographic artwork. For simple solid-color logos, soft enamel is a lower-cost option. We will recommend the right finish once we see your artwork.

Yes. We match enamel and ribbon colors to Pantone reference numbers, and UV printing reproduces full-color branding accurately. Send your brand guidelines or color codes with your artwork and we will confirm the match in the proof.

The standard MOQ is 100 pieces per design. For smaller virtual events or limited challenges, contact us. We can sometimes work with lower quantities depending on the design and our production schedule.

Standard lead time is 7–10 days for samples and 18–20 days for bulk production after sample approval. For a virtual event with a fixed launch date, we recommend locking artwork 4–6 weeks ahead. A 7-day expedited option is available on selected designs.

Yes. We produce challenge series medals where each stage has a distinct design and the full set connects or builds into a larger piece. This is a common way to lift completion rates and keep participants engaged across the whole challenge.

Yes. We offer polybags, velvet pouches, mailer boxes and gift boxes, all with your branding if needed. Because virtual medals are unboxed at home, we design packaging to make that first look part of the event.

Yes. Many virtual events start with only a name, a logo and a concept. Our in-house design team develops design directions based on your event type and audience. The design service is free and includes revisions until you approve.

We stand behind our manufacturing. If any medals arrive with defects, contact us with photos within 7 days of delivery. We will assess the issue and offer replacement or compensation. Our three-stage QC is designed to catch issues before shipping, but we take post-delivery concerns seriously.

You send the final participant list with name, address, country and medal variant. We pack each medal for that runner, apply the shipping label, dispatch by air or sea, and return the tracking numbers against your participant reference. MOQ is 100 pcs per design, samples take 7–10 days and bulk production 18–20 days after approval.

Yes, for every parcel shipped on a tracked service. We send the tracking list in a spreadsheet so your team can match each number to the participant record and answer delivery questions without contacting the factory. A bulk shipment to one address receives a single tracking number.

Yes. We ship to 50+ countries by DHL, UPS or FedEx, and one order can be split into regional shipments so each group of participants receives medals close to its own launch date. Import duties and local taxes are set by the destination country and are not included in the medal price.
